Chief Acquisition Officer

Dan Smeaton was named Chief Acquisition Officer in 2026.

As Chief Acquisition Officer, Dan leads Service Logic's acquisition strategy and oversees all aspects of the mergers and acquisitions lifecycle. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions that support the company's strategic growth objectives. His responsibilities include overseeing valuations, financial and operational due diligence, legal and tax coordination, transaction structuring, integration and managing relationships with sellers throughout the acquisition process.

Since joining Service Logic in 2017, Dan has played a pivotal role in building and expanding the company's acquisition platform. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development, where he led due diligence for prospective acquisitions, managed the end-to-end acquisition process, established the company's internal Corporate Development and M&A function, and implemented standardized processes that have supported the successful execution of acquisitions across the organization.

Before joining Service Logic, Dan was an Advisory Manager at Deloitte, where he advised large strategic and private equity clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions.

Dan earned a bachelor's degree in Business Finance and Accounting from Elon University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of North Carolina. He also served on the university's President's Young Leadership Council.
